Recently, I read an article about a photographer who had a list of perfect locations for photography. The article was a great read, and I immediately knew I had to create my own list of perfect locations for nature photography. I have compiled a list of locations in the US that have some of the most breathtaking nature. While I have seen images of locations mentioned in the article, I believe my list has more than anything.
There are a plethora of beautiful locations in the United States that are ideal for photography, but where do you go to find them? We have scoured the country and picked the top spots that offer the most beautiful natural scenery, as rated by other photographers.
White Sands National Park
Located in the Chihuahuan Desert on the border of New Mexico and Texas, White Sands National Park is one of the oldest and largest national parks in the country. It was established in 1924 and is home to a variety of wildlife, including bighorn sheep, pronghorn antelope, black-tailed prairie dogs, and more. But perhaps the most notable aspect of the park is the unique white sand dunes that cover much of the surrounding area. Since it is located in a desert, it is not uncommon to see the park covered in snow during the winter, but this is quite rare.
The Hawaiian Islands
The Hawaiian Islands, also known as the Hawaiian Islands, is a chain of volcanic islands in the Pacific Ocean that stretch from the North Pacific Ocean to the South Pacific Ocean. They are an archipelago with over 1,000 islands. The largest island in the chain is Hawaii, which is also the most populated island. The Hawaiian Islands are generally described as two geographically divided islands: the Hawaiian Islands and the Northwestern Hawaiian Islands (or part of the Northwestern Hawaiian Islands). The Hawaiian Islands consist of five main volcanic islands, plus a number of atolls and reefs. These five islands house nearly 75% of the Hawaiian population. The Northwestern Hawaiian Islands consist of one large island (Mokuʻāweoweo), and a number
Yellowstone National Park
Yellowstone National Park is a wonderland that offers some of the most awe-inspiring landscapes in the world. Although most of the park is located within the United States, it is known as the first national park globally and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The park covers an area of about 3 million acres, making it the largest in the lower 48 of the continental USA. With an average of 1,500 earthquakes every year, Yellowstone is also one of the most seismically active places on Earth.
Niagara Falls
Niagara Falls is one of the most beautiful sites in the world, and there are plenty of amazing spots to photograph it from. However, a few places in Ontario provide the perfect combination of amazing scenery, a unique time of day, and the best weather.
Zion National Park
Zion National Park in Utah is a place that has it all when it comes to beautiful natural environments. It is located in the high desert of central Utah and is known for its stunning red sandstone cliffs and amazing waterfalls, and mist-filled valleys. It is the closest national park to Vegas, and if you are looking to hike in awesome places, this is the place to go. Zion is perfect for photographers as well, with wonderful images of streams and rugged desert canyons to capture, and if you visit on a good day, you might be able to get some wildlife photography as well.
The New England Coastline
The New England Coastline is one of the safest coasts in the world. That just sounded wrong. In fact, it seemed almost like a line from a travel brochure. After all, New England is the nation’s most populated area east of the Mississippi River. It’s also a place with a deep history that stretches back to the first European explorers to reach what is now the U.S. It’s a place with gorgeous botanical and wildlife wonders. Some of the best nature photography in the world is found in the area.
We’ve all seen those incredible photos with amazing outdoor scenes that are absolutely stunning, but how do you get there? There are a number of things to consider before heading out into nature for your next photoshoot, but being prepared with the right gear can make all the difference. After all, the environment is one of the most important elements in the composition of a photograph, so it’s important to prepare as well as possible for the conditions.
