One of the most favorite parts of my job is working with amazing people. My brides and grooms, of course, whom are all gorgeous, glamorous and super cute, but I’m also talking about the behind the scenes rockstars that pull a wedding day together and make my job not only easy, but fun as well.

From time to time, these creative people pool their talents and create something marvelous and I get lucky enough to be invited along to document it all. I think I let out a few uber cool squeals of excitement during the day. Serious wedding inspiration. I would never have thought of green caramel apples, burlap, fine china and a ceramic pig as part of a wedding decor, but they did and did it well.

This shoot was featured yesterday on Style Unveiled (another super cool squeal). Go check out the full post over THERE. I’ll just post a teaser or two below.

Hanssie For President (or something like that)

We had classroom elections in the fifth grade. I really wanted to be class secretary, because I liked to write and I wanted the prestige of being an elected official amongst my peers. After a week of kissing babies and shaking hands, voting day came…and I lost by ONE vote. MY vote. I didn’t think it would be right to vote for myself, so I voted for my competitor. Well, never again…VOTE.FOR.MEEEEE!!!!

I’ve admitted it in the past, I’ll admit it again.

Since then I’m a bit, teensy, weensy, little, wee bit competitive. I have this, I.MUST.WIN feeling that overtakes me anytime there is a little bit of a rivalry in anything. Anyway, so this morning I saw that one of my 2010 weddings (Jenai and Jared) is up for Style Unveiled‘s 2010 Favorite Southern California Wedding and the bride is up for 2010 Favorite Bridal Beauty Look. And then the roaring in my ears, the face painting, campaigning, and speech writing began to overtake me. So if you start seeing Hanssie Trainor 2010 signs all over town, don’t be alarmed. Hey, I might just run for that Commander in Chief thing…I heard it’s a pretty good gig and you get free housing.

So, if you have a second, please go vote HEREYou gotta scroll down to the middle for the first award, then the bottom for the second category. They made a little typo, so Jenai’s name is listed as Jania ad Jared in the first category.

In other news, the winner of the giveaway from Hanssie’s Favorite Things from Monday is…well, I guess first I should thank you all for participating and tell you how I got a winner. It was the very high tech way of throwing all the names into a hat, some people got numerous entries since they “Liked” it on Facebook and/or Tweeted about it, and then I picked a name. Very Scientific. So, the winner is…BROOKE CONLIN (who chose Pinkberry and will be receiving a giftcard to my FAVORITE place).
