I became a photographer so I had a good excuse to hide behind the camera. (I’m sure I’ve blogged about my adversion to cameras pointing in the wrong direction before so I’ll spare you the details). When someone points a camera at me, I get all awkward and have no idea what to do with my hands – think Talladega Nights. So, modeling was definitely NOT in the cards for me.
When I was young, I had grandiose visions of becoming a singer like Debbie Gibson, but my introverted side refused to allow me the liberty of rocking out in front of people with my hairbrush.
That pesky introverted awkwardness has cost me lucrative careers in modeling and rockstardom. I suppose the next best thing is to make gorgeous people look even more gorgeous. Colette is no exception.
Colette owns Fancy That, a cupcake company that make amazingly fantastic custom cupcakes. She is a children’s author with her first book coming out in the next few months and she also has started modeling.
How come all my friends are amazingly beautiful and talented? I swear, I’m gonna to get a complex…
