the people: the leland family

He loves dinosaurs, but doesn’t love to stay still. He’ll talk to ducks for chunks of time, but he won’t smile for the camera.

When Crystal asked if I would take some photos of her family, she mentioned that her two year old wouldn’t cooperate for very long. Ah, the energy of a two year old. I get tired just looking at them, but the sense of wonder, adventure and excitement all bottled up into one little body, will one day–so much sooner than you think–grow into a know it all five year old or an awkward 13 year old or a college bound eighteen year old. I’m learning to treasure the simple things, the most important things.

I’m feeling nostalgic (if you couldn’t tell) as my baby is graduating kindergarten this week.

I’ve been having the hardest time trying to get back on a regular blogging schedule. Suffering from lack of sleep after Vegas and jumping right into a few shoots, a wedding and work, not to mention my laptop power cord DYING and RESURRECTING in the same day, I’ve been hard pressed to want to do anything besides sit on the couch and try not to tax too many brain cells  figuring out how many other Others there are on  LOST!

I am slowly but surely on my way back though…I think. Maybe you should leave some happy comments down below so I’ll feel more motivated…just sayin’

ANYWAY,

Enough about me, let’s move on to the Coll family. Mom and Dad are renewing their vows next month and in lieu of an engagement session, they opted to bring the entire family. Seriously cute kids and a super fabulous family.
