the fashion: spring styles ~ flowers & drama (part 3)

I’ve been taking life just a little bit easier. I’ve lived in a vortex of stress, junk food, deadlines and little sleep for far too long and down the slippery slope of burn out (again).

It helps that I don’t have a laptop that I am constantly tapping on (I’m just constantly tapping on a desktop now!) and that my recent projects have “soft” deadlines. So, herein lies part three of a shoot I did weeks ago. I have one more part (or so) to cover and I will get around to it…eventually.

the fashion: spring styles ~ sweet and romantic (pt 2)

Romance Novels. I’m admitting it. I read them. I love them.

I grew up in the world of Disney happy endings and lots of books. I like reading about love, drama (other people’s, of course) and happy endings. Go ahead and judge my shelves of romance novels.

I’d like to say that I read serious, heavy duty history, science and theology books all the time, but I’d be lying if I said I actually enjoyed them or read them because I wanted to. Don’t get me wrong, I do read non “fluffy” books –when I get a chance to read, that is. I also have shelves and shelves of Puritan writings, theology books, Parenting books, health books, business books, but I also have one book case dedicated only to my romance novels (sprinkled in with some murder and mayhem, too!)

Reading for me is an escape. I don’t like to think about what I am reading. So, anything fiction is fun for me…the rest is work.

I like getting lost in other people’s stories. And you add some love into it, I’m sold. Maybe that’s why I LOVE weddings so much–I’m reading a love story without using words.
