The ONE bag…Undfind (Product Review)

Bags. I own an, ahem, fair amount (I can hear my husband snickering as he reads this…). In my defense, I carry a lot of stuff and I need to make sure I have an appropriate bag for each and every occasion. Besides my purses –yes, I do own a few of those as well, I need a laptop bag, a camera bag, a bag for day trips, a bag for longer day trips, a backpack like bag for short outings, some grocery bags (hey, it’s good for the environment!), a work bag, a laptop bag that carries my laptop vertically, a laptop bag that carries my laptop horizontally, a workOUT bag for Zumba, a workout bag for yoga, a workout bag for Bootcamp, a bag for me to hold stuff when I take the Kidlet to swim lessons, a bag big enough to carry my future iPad, a bag for…well, I think you get the idea.

So, sometimes when going places I might have anywhere from 1-4 bags on any given occasion. When the folks over at UnDfind sent me their ONE bag, I’ll have to admit, I was dubious. I mean, really, how can people function with ONE bag??! And could ONE bag really match every one of my outfits?

The ONE bag is a laptop bag and a camera bag in one (and I was told it also has a slot for an iPad, but I wouldn’t know. Bitterness). So, I promised to try out this new bag for a few weeks to see if using only ONE bag is truly a possibility for any respectable fashion diva.

(By the way, UnDfind did not pay me to write this –either with cookies or cold hard cash. They gave me stuff to try and by doing so has now subjected their product to my honest and often brutal opinion about it. So, if anyone from Juicy Couture, Pinkberry or Christian Louboutin is reading this, I am always willing be a test subject. Just throwing that out there).

So after testing out the ONE bag for a few weeks, here are some thoughts…

What I Love:

~ It has a shoulder strap that is very, very comfy. In fact, with all the crap, VERY important items, I carry on my poor little shoulders, comfort is a plus. The strap reminds me of a bungee cord.

~ It has a zippered compartment and a clip in the front for extra protection. I’m pretty hard on my bags. I throw them around, fling them at people I am mad at (not really), drop them carelessly on the floor…the zipper in the middle ensures that my laptop doesn’t go flying and the clip in the front makes sure my 70-200mm stays put when I am dashing about like a super hero ninja warrior at a wedding.

~ I can change the covers easily (zipper and velcro). It could be plain black (in case you are a guy, feeling boring that day or wearing plaid) OR it could be pink, purple and flashy. Depending on your mood, outfit selection, personality and job type, your bag matches. In fact, I may need to start a separate closet for my covers…

~It’s made of neoprene, so it’s waterproof and tough. I’m not afraid of rain or that occasional errant suicidal cup of Starbucks that throws itself off my dashboard.

~ I can use it as either a laptop bag or a camera bag. As a laptop bag, I LOOOOVE it. It has plenty of room for my pens, papers, folders, cords, discs, USB drives, and oh yeah, my laptop. It also feel very sturdy and cushy. As a camera bag, I LIKE it. It comes with an insert that you slide in and it has room for a few lenses –although I admit, I shoved my whole camera body in there along with a flash, lens and the rest of my crap very important work stuff. I don’t like to be too encumbered when I shoot, so I usually throw my stuff in a corner anyway, but for those who need a quick lens change and like to carry all their stuff at their hip, it’s a great choice.

~ It’s cute. And really, isn’t that the MOST important reason to love it?

What I Would Change:

~ More cover options and more feminine options. The designs now are very geometric and look like they were chosen by men (which I think they were…) I would like to see more pretty, feminine designs.

~It needs more little pockets so I can store all the little stuff business cards, mints, and most importantly, chapstick. When I was shooting, I found myself needing to change batteries from my flash quickly and spent a good long time trying to dig around searching the bottom of the bag for them.

~ It would be nice to have a little zippered CF card holder slot for easy access.

~ It should come with an iPad, so when they say that one of their “three unique pockets is perfect for an iPad,” I can test it out for myself.

I didn’t have time to rope someone into taking some pictures of me with my new bag, so you’ll have to wait on me modeling with my ONE bag. I had to steal these off their BLOG. Shhhh, don’t tell!

Mine kinda looked like this, but imagine the sides bulging out it very important stuff.

These were the two covers I got. Tell me that bottom one doesn’t look like the original Fendi interlocking F’s. LOVE.
I know you all want ONE for yourselves, but sorry, this bag is going into MY bag collection. Get your own at: http://www.undfind.com

Tell me again why you weren’t a writer??? lol… I think you need to write a book one of these days. ;)

[...] I love, in fact it was my first (of many) majors in college. Remember way back when I posted a product review of the ONE bag? (If not, well, hurry up and click on the link, I’ll wait for you). [...]
