He spied two incredibly gorgeous women sitting at the bar and he walked over, smiled his charming smile and asked to buy them a drink. “I can by my own drink, thank you very much,” the beautiful blonde says as she returns to her conversation with her friend. Undeterred, he sweet talks the bartender into telling him what they are drinking and armed with the two drinks he approaches them a second time and says, “I know you can buy your own drink, but I’d like to buy you one anyway.” And the following week, Jill and Scott went on their first date.
As the officiant retells the story to 100 guests, overlooking the beautiful beaches of Malibu, Jill beams her bright smile at Scott and the love they share is as palpable as the warm rays of the golden sunset kissing our skins. A ripple of laughter rolls of the crowd as I am sure they can all picture Jill, in her sweet voice, laced with a bit of sass, rebuffing Scott’s first attempt.
Hours earlier, Jill, surrounded by her bridesmaids, many of whom were childhood friends, giggled and got ready at a private estate a few miles from Cypress Sea Cove. Relaxed and excited to be marrying the man of her dreams, Jill smiled, laughed, twirled and offered potato chip sandwiches to anyone who might be hungry. But that’s Jill, thinking of others and taking care of those around her. That’s what I love about her and I am sure that is one of the multitude of traits Scott loves about her.
Jill and Scott, thank you for allowing me to be a part of one of the most stunningly gorgeous weddings ever. I hope that you guys had a fabulous time in Turks and Caicos!
