for photographers: 8/29 socal photogshootout – high fashion-

So, as you can see, I’m just a wee bit behind. Like about 3 weeks.

On August 29th, we hosted the 5th SoCal PhotogShootout, which sold out in 2 hours! The high fashioned theme drew in 50+ photographers at Irvine Regional Park on an extremely hot 100 degree day.

Many props to our models who were amazingly gorgeous and troopers, changing in their cars and enduring hours of hair and makeup by the fabulous All Made Up Team.

Special thanks to Triple Scoop Music for donating some songs and Tilt-n-Shift’s Henry and Doug for their lighting expertise.

See you at the next shootout – October 13th. The concept will be FIVE different Trash the Dress sessions. More info and details for registration will be available next week.

I want to attend the October 13th shootout because I paid for myself and another photographer for the 8/29 shootout and we both had car troubles and couldn’t make it! I really wanted to go too.

I want to attend the October Shootout because I have always to shoot and also be in a Trash the Dress Photo Shoot and since it seems that I might never get married….haha….. it would at least be fun to shoot beautiful models in wedding dresses. Also I missed the last photo shoot and I actually paid for it due to some family stuff:(……so it would be great to be able to attend the October one and meet all the wonderful photographers.

I want to attend the October Shootout because I want to test my skills and (God willing) take the shot that will be the turning point for me. This shootout will be my first and best opportunity.

I want to attend the October shootout because I have grown tremendously from the community in which the shoot outs foster. When I went to my first shoot out, back in May, I was new to Orange County and didn’t know a lot of people who had similar interests as me. After having been to a few shoot outs and lots of other local photog events, I have met the coolest people ever! They have helped me grow tremendously as an artist & photographer by being so generous with their knowledge and honest critiques. And I love the opportunity that Hanssie & Matt give all of us to bond while taking photos of beautiful models wearing gorgeous clothing in awesome locations. Essentially, I want to attend the October shootout to further build relationships and spice up my portfolio.

I want to attend the October shootout because I went to the August shootout and it was an incredible experience. It is an amazing feeling to be apart of a photography group like that. I loved being a part of the creative energy that was in the air. It sorta attached itself to me and inspired me to become a better photographer. It made me open my eyes a little wider and see different angles, compositions and styles. In my opinion the most important part of why I want to attend the October shootout is because of the friends you meet and the relationships you develop. Before that workshop I was basically a lonely photographer eager to learn and share my passion for photography and at the last shootout I met new friends and created new relationships that I hope will be everlasting. These workshop shootouts bring photographers together and I love that! Thanks!

I WANT to attend the October shootout because it will make not being able to get a good nights sleep for the past 25 nights and the next 20 nights worth it! Maybe I need to get out more often, because the previous shootout was so much FUN I can’t stop thinking about it!

I want to attend the October shootout because I just still can’t get over what an amazing time I had at the September one – meeting new friends, seeing familiar faces, and hanging out. It was one of the best times I’ve had all year. I feel like I learned a lot and it was SO great for me. I have trouble being “around” due to work when the tickets go on sale, so I am scared of missing some in the future!! I want to go :D
