He walked over to her classroom Friday morning, as he did each morning, each armed with their carafes of coffee and notes for the day. The two college professors chatted about what the day looked like for each of them, looking over their planners and enjoying the last moments of silence before the students start piling in and they are swept away in the ebb and flow of each class.
Hours later, she sits down, coffee long gone and the few drops left, cold and forgotten. She sighs and opens her planner, to make sure she hasn’t missed any important meetings and her eye is captured by a curious circled event that evening. “Dinner with Nick” is written, not in her writing, with a big circle surrounding it– in case she might miss such an important event. She calls him and asks if he’s serious and that night, their first date, Nellie and Nick began their journey that will be celebrated next August in front of all their family and friends.
Nellie & Nick, I enjoyed meeting you, spending time walking around Little Italy, having dinner at the ONLY place we could find with the Jukebox “Cher” man! Stay warm in Chicago!
Special thanks to Kacee Geoffroy of Kacee Geoffroy MakeUp Designs for Nellie’s amazing hair and make-up.
Favorite!
I looooooove this red door.

I’d like to take credit for making them laugh like this, but it was all Nick!

Nick’s father is an Optometrist, so we had to work those glasses!
Last shot of the day…it was 8:45 at night. Too tired to pull out my flash, but wanted to get his shot anyway.
